Cyber-attacks

Cyber-attacks or security incidents are becoming more frequent in the education sector. Some of these can result in the loss of our data or restricted access to our systems. This can affect our ability to make payments to our customers.

If there is a cyber-attack or security incident that affects your student data system resulting in you being unable to make data returns to us, you must contact me (mailto:kay_vizard-kotkowicz@slc.co.uk) as soon as possible and within 24 hours at the latest of becoming aware of the incident.

You can find cyber-attack guidance on the LC Services website.

LC Portal opening early for Easter

We're opening the Learning Centre Portal early for entries for the week ending 22 March.
This means you can submit attendances from Monday 18 March, which will ensure allocations are in place before you break for the holidays.

Please make sure to mark the following weeks as holidays:

  • all weeks your Learning Centre is closed for holidays
  • all weeks your Learning Centre is only open for one day

This will automatically mark all students as on holiday, ensuring the portal is up to date.

Please also check the unconfirmed weeks section of the portal for any outstanding student payments.

WGLG term 2 payments

Please check that you have marked all term 2 attendance confirmations as either in attendance or not in attendance before finishing for the Easter break. This will ensure we can make any payments that students are due before the end of term.

EMA and WGLG FE application packs for academic year 2024/25

We'll start sending out your allocation of EMA and WGLG FE application packs for academic year 2024/25 on week starting 15 April, after you return from the Easter holidays. We'll send out further updates at the time.
